Dr Christopher (Fif) Buckingham
Founder
Fif is the creator of the Galatean model and the original architect behind what is now Galea. With a background in computer science and cognitive psychology, his early research focused on modelling how experts make classification decisions — work that later formed the foundation for a new way of understanding and supporting mental health assessments.
Through decades of academic research, he developed GRiST, a pioneering tool for structured mental health reasoning, now Galea. Fif’s commitment to ethical, human-centred technology continues to lead Galea’s every step.
Mark MacLeod
Chief Executive Officer
With over 20 years of international experience across North America, the UK, and Europe, Mark has built a career around making things work better — whether that’s in healthcare, sustainability, or early-stage ventures. As CEO of XPerfecta, he brings a hands-on, collaborative approach to leadership, grounded in a deep belief in continuous improvement, practical innovation, and doing work that matters.
Mark is driven by curiosity, efficiency, and a strong sense of purpose. He values diverse perspectives, complementary skill sets, and honest conversations — especially when building something from the ground up. At XPerfecta, his role is equal parts strategy, problem-solving, and making space for great people to do great work.
